The nation's largest trade organization for agriculture and pest management, representing developers, manufacturers and distributors of most of the crop-protection products used by American farmers. National Farmers Union
Grassroots organization that protects more than 250,000 family farmers and ranchers nationally, with 32 organized state chapters. Activities include: development of innovative programs, fair trade support, conservation and promotion of alternative energy sources. Membership benefits include: adult and youth educational programs, information on co-op start-ups and representation on policy changes and legislative issues. Membership at the state level includes membership with the national union. Those who join in states that do not have chapters can become at-large national members. Non-profit agricultural export association made up of departments of agriculture from 15 southern states and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico that works to increase southern food and agricultural product exports.
